As you grow with your age – you tend to be forgetful. Why? I
don’t think there is a link between age and forgetfulness. I think it’s just a myth.
Didn't you ever forget anything when you were young? I think
yes, many times! Although in that age we
were not that conscious about it. You
were a bit careless. You just used to excuse
you by yourselves and used to forget about your forgetfulness.
However as you grow… you tend become more serious, and start
taking thing more seriously. And thus, start
noting your own forgetfulness more consciously. And begin to feel guilty conscious
about it. Others, when they note your
weakness about yourself, naturally start using this opportunity of pointing out
and linking your forgetfulness with your age.
Sometimes due to the shortage of
energy supply, the process of thought breaks. That, to the other person looks
like forgetfulness… which was actually broken due to absence of energy.
Therefore, it’s just a myth that the people become more
forgetful in old age. People equally forget in young age too!!!
